Merry Christmas

Due to the lovely winter sunshine on saturday, myself and Terry decided to make the trip out to the Cotswolds to see if we could catch up with the 'shorties'.
All the way there I was praying that they would come out in decent light. Alas! They did not show until 15:30pm! By which time the light had gone…But one day I will get lucky...

2014 has been a good year, with lots of help and tips along the way, special thanks to; Badger, Terry, Peter, Ewen and Andy! Very much appreciated! Looking forward to our trip in 2015...

Have a good Christmas

Chew reservoir

Saterday morning I went over to chew reservoir looking for a long staying Great northern diver , we found the diver quite quickly but it never gave us any great photographic opportunites

Sunday morning was a very slow start after the Oxon birders  curry night . I decided to go looking for some shorties , but unfortunately saturdays sun didn't continue ,back to grey skys and high ISO

Don't fancy his chances much, what with all the owls around.

This place used to be a very quiet lonely place in the middle of no where , that was until it was leaked out through the internet !!!!!!!

A few 'bob' there, wouldn't want to pay for that lot!

Grey Skies and Scrumpy

On what can only be described as the greyest and wettest weekend for a long time, I decided to make my annual pilgrimage to Worcester to pick up my cider ingredients. Knowing that the pressing of the apples would not be complete until late afternoon, I decided to make a day of it and called in at the local Nature Reserve.

As the morning went on it got greyer and wetter. ISO 1250 f4 and only getting 100/125 SEC, I decided to throw the towel in and go help with the pressing of the apples.

Can only pray that Santa brings me a 1DX for Xmas

On a brighter note, I now have forty gallons of apple juice, 30 Ibs of sugar and 5 kilos of raisins nicely bubbling away. So now all we need is patience and someone to cal the first Cuckoo...
